Position Summary: The Engineer-in-Training (EIT) works under the direction of a licensed PE to learn to design concrete formwork solutions. General job duties include the preparation of EFCO equipment requirements, analysis of the structural stability of forming systems, the creation of erection drawings and details, reviewing drawings and equipment takeoffs, and assisting with the engineering and drafting functions of pre-sales projects. Ideally, the EIT will train to eventually take on more responsibility as either a District Engineer (DE) or Corporate Project Engineer (CPE), but there are several career paths available to our EITs. EFCO supports its engineering employees in the pursuit of their PE designation.
Qualifications: BS/BA in Civil, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering is required. Ideal candidates will have a good work ethic, strong communication and time management skills, and the desire to work in a fast-pace environment.
